Synopsis
A cinematic adaptation of the popular video game series in which a treasure hunter named Nathan Drake searches for modern day relics. Uncharted is a prequel to the video games it takes its inspiration from, providing backstory into Nathan Drake and how he crossed paths with Victor "Sully" Sullivan, who becomes a friend and mentor.
Uncharted was in the development stage for several years, with Mark Wahlberg once attached to the role of the lead character before Tom Holland was cast. The film also face a few release date delays, initially due to scheduling conflicts and, later, the global pandemic. Now, the video game adaptation is on track to be released in 2022.
