Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission, with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.

The Suicide Squad is the second live-action film based on the comic book title, following David Ayer's Suicide Squad from 2016. James Gunn's take is described as more of a sequel to the comics, and it's been revealed one does not have watch the first movie to understand this one. Even though The Suicide Squad features some returning characters from Ayer's movie, it appears to be more of a soft reboot to the film series.

Plot details unknown. This will be the third solo Spider-Man movie featuring Tom Holland, following Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

In September 2019, Sony and Disney announced this film will be part of the MCU. Earlier in 2019, the two studios could not agree on a new deal to share the Spider-Man character and went their separate ways.

After some online trolling by the film's stars, the official title was revealed to be Spider-Man: No Way Home. The sequel will be set after the events of Far From Home, which ended with the public outing of Spider-Man's identity as Peter Parker, now an alleged killer after the villain Mysterio edited video footage suggesting that Spider-Man was responsible for his death. Likely on the run and in hiding, Peter will have to rely on the support of his friends. In addition to dealing with the aftermath of his alter ego being revealed, No Way Home will likely be the start of the MCU's multiverse. It's already been confirmed that Doctor Octopus and another version of Electro will be introduced in the film. Fans will recall these were villains from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, respectively.
